When the first American to orbit the earth, John Glenn, flew over Perth in 1962 in Friendship 7, he famously referred to Perth City as the “City of Lights”. At the time excited locals actually put bed sheets out on their lawns to light up their houses in advance of the historic flyover…(yes……..seriously!)

Today Perth City doesnt need bed sheets to take on a totally enchanting transformation at night and its well worth a tour before a special dinner or as an end to a great day. Bring your bed sheets if you like! But I’ll provide a blanket and a few chairs to watch the sunset.I also include a complimentary local sparkling and a selection of the best local seasonal fruit, cheese & chocolate that I can get my hands on!

My Twilight Tour can start a number of ways:

Option 1: From your hotel, city residence or home where we drive to the beach for a complimentary local sparkling wine or a refreshing beer as the sun sets in the west over the Indian Ocean. We then progress to Perth for a tour of the lights of the city.

Option 2: I can recommend a number of excellent beach side restaurants where you can take an early dinner before I meet you at the Beach all set up and ready to take on the sunset. Or in Winter when the sun sets earlier – the Tour can be the beginning of your night out.

City lights reflecting on the river surface, sculptures and heritage buildings are all beautiful at night and if you’re a shutterbug  I take you to all the best locations and angles for you.

This is a great tour for a special occasion, if youve just arrived in Perth or just as a fantastic end to a great day. Tour duration is approximately 3 hours.

This is an awesome summer tour, but from March – September you might want to bring a few scarfs and jackets.
