OPTION 1 : Mandurah is popular for its Dolphin Ferry Canal Cruises which guarantee dolphin sightings. The cruise passes through a number of residential canals and boat harbours and Dolphins are encountered in the open waterways, fishing against the sea walls or even surfing along the bow or rear waves of the cruise boats. I can assist in booking this cruise to fit into the days itinerary. Cost of the cruise is additional to the tour price.

In addition a number of the Mandurah Giants are included in the day before and after the cruise.

Other attractions in the Mandurah region include the Lake Clifton Stromatelites, a number of excellent childrens playgrounds along the Mandurah estuary, beautiful sandy beaches and stunning rocky coastline.

OPTION 2: Shoalwater Islands Marine Park Bay includes Penguin Island and is roughly 50min south of Perth near Rockingham. This option would be included first, prior to the Giants. 

The ferry ride across to Penguin Island leaves on the hour and I can advise the best time and can arrange the bookings for you. Once on the island you can join a second ferry for a 1 hour cruise around the Marine Park to see dolphins (not guaranteed), Sea Lions, Ospreys (Sea Eagles) Cormorants and Pelicans. Penguin Island is a Fairy Penguin sanctuary so they are protected and breed in this place.

IMPORTANT Note: Fairy Penguins tend to fish throughout the day and are not guaranteed to be seen. In addition the Penguin Interpretive Centre has been dismantled and a new centre is awaiting construction. 

If kids are involved the sheltered bays & beaches on Penguin Island are a perfect natural play setting in Summer.

In addition, this tour continues further south to Mandurah to see a few of the awesome Mandurah Giants which are large sculptures situated in different locations around the Mandurah Estuary, forests and coastline.

** The Rockingham Shoalwater/Penguin Island cruise and Mandurah Canal Dolphin cruise cannot both be included together on this tour together.
