The Wheatbelt is a massive agricultural region extending from Geraldton (about 400km north of Perth) to Esperance (around 800km south of Perth). This full day tour includes heritage towns and many natural attractions all located in the central Wheatbelt Region directly east of Perth.

How much you want to see on this tour is up to you. If you prefer to stay a little longer at the expense of another location thats totally fine. This tour can be many things to different people. There are a lot of changes in landscape simply because we cover a lot of ground in approximately 10 – 12 hours. It’s a visual feast for photographers and random stops are what its all about!.

The towns we pass through are among the oldest in Western Australia and contain some beautifully maintained examples of Federation, Victorian and Art Deco heritage buildings.

Wave Rock is the furthest point of the tour from Perth and for many it is the highlight of the day. An amazing natural rock formation with beautiful ochre and charcoal colouring rising approximately 15m and over 110m long.

There are a range of attractions in the Wave Rock region. Please contact me directly if there are other features you are interested in so we can plan the day specially for you. A lot of things can be achieved if you want to move quickly or you can simply take your time and immerse yourself in a few chosen sites.

It is a long day but a lot of country is covered and gives an excellent perspective on the size of Western Australia. The tour can be taken at any time of the year but the summer heat can make it uncomfortable on the face of Wave Rock.

Many of the small towns hold shows and festivals during the Spring periods so July – November is ideal.The Wildflower displays at this time are beautiful and add brilliant color along the drive.

Mulkas Cave, the Humps & the Tin Horse Highway are optional and add an additional 1 – 3 hours to the day. Please advise when booking if you wish to include these attractions as they will affect the price of the tour. This should be discussed prior to the tour.

Lunch is not included in the tour price as everyone has particular dietary needs. Flexibility in this area means you can choose what you feel comfortable with on the day. If you want to bring your own lunch or grab something along the way thats ok too.
