I offer 3 Tour options. A “METROPOLITAN” day tour, a “COUNTRY ROAD DAY TRIP” and a longer 2 night 3 day “REGIONAL WILDFLOWER” tour.

Option 1: The METROPOLITAN WILDFLOWER TOUR:

Includes the magnificent Kings Park Botanical Gardens located only a few minutes from Perth City. Fun Fact: Kings Park is the largest Botanical Garden of any city anywhere in the world. (over 400 hectares) The Parkland comprises beautiful displays of Everlastings (Paper Daisies), Kangaroo Paws and Acacias (Golden Wattles), Banksias and grass trees. I also include several bushland reserves in the metro area depending on the seasons and what is blooming at the time.
In addition, an optional extra is a visit to the magnificent Araluen Botanical Gardens which are about 40 minutes drive into the Perth Hills, In early Spring the beautiful Tulip displays and heritage gardens are very popular and the landscaped setting offers many photo opportunities. (Entry to Araluen is not included in the tour price.)

Option 2: THE COUNTRY ROAD DAY TRIP.

This tour takes us out into the Perth Hills and beyond into national reserves and parks where wildflower displays can be small. short photo stops of individual species or broader walks through forests looking for orchids and other native varieties. Larger carpet displays of everlastings are also possible subject to the season. This tour can also include walks to waterfalls and lunch stops in country towns. Being a local guide you will also learn much about the region & its communities generally. This tour can include a brief Kings Park walk on request in combination with a shorter Country drive.   

Option 3: The REGIONAL WILDFLOWER Tour: 3 days 2 nights.

This is a wonderful road trip. Its generally offered when the northern country regions are blooming optimally between late August and mid September. (its not a large window of time so if you are interested be quick because dates fill quickly) These are my favourite tours!….We leave the city for the country regions in search of landscapes full of colour. Exact locations are determined closer to the season subject to my information. ACCOMMODATION & meals are not included in the tour price. I will advise and assist personally with accommodation options in the towns where we stay closer to your booking dates. PLEASE NOTE: This tour requires a 50% deposit in advance.

Every Wildflower Season is slightly different and conditions change when looking for wildflowers on the road. However no matter what you are looking for on a wildflower tour, you will find things you didn’t expect – and that surprise is half of the fun.

**Peak Perth Wildflower season is generally mid September, earlier for the longer road trip north and bookings fill fast – be early!

During early spring (August/early Sept) I am excitedly searching for the best displays in advance – based on my previous years experience.
